Parking at Chicago O’Hare International Airport ORD
There are several parking options at O’Hare International Airport ranging from hourly and daily parking to long-term/economy parking.
Parking map:
ECONOMY PARKING – FROM $3/hour – $16/day
If you plan on parking your car at O’Hare International Airport for an extended period of time, then the Economy Lots are the best option. The daily rates range between $16 and $30 per day with Lot G providing the most economical on-airport parking with a rate of $16 per day.
Economy Lot F
Economy Lot F offers travelers a long term covered parking option. Travelers should board the Airport Transit System (ATS) for free transportation to and from all Terminals.
Economy Lot F is located on floors 4 & 5 of the Multi-Modal Facility (MMF) which is on the southeast corner of Mannheim and Zemke Road. The MMF’s address: 10255 W. Zemke Blvd., Chicago, IL 60666
Economy Lot G
Economy Lot G is located along Bessie Coleman Drive at the southwest corner of Mannheim and Zemke Road. In relation to the terminals, the lot is northeast of the domestic terminals and directly north of the International Terminal 5.
Passengers will need to ride the Airport Transit System (ATS) to all airport terminals. Shuttle buses’ final stop from Economy Parking Lots G & H will be at the Multi-Modal Facility, where passengers can board the ATS. The ATS and parking lot shuttle buses arrive every 5/10 minutes and operate 24 hours a day.

MAIN GARAGE (HOURLY-DAILY) – FROM $3/hour – $43/day
The main garage at O’Hare International Airport is adjacent to the domestic terminals with hourly parking located on Level 1. Hourly parking is for short-term parking (less than three hours). Daily parking is available on Levels 2-6 of the main garage and in the outdoor Lots B and C. We do not recommend using the main garage for extended overnight stays as the daily rates are higher than the Economy Lots. There are 12 Level II electric vehicle charging stations on Level 1 (hourly parking) in Aisle 2 near Elevator Center 3.
Payments are made to the cashier upon exiting the lots. Cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and Carte Blanche are all accepted forms of payment.
TERMINAL 5 PARKING GARAGE AND LOT D – FROM $3/hour – $43/day
The new six-story parking garage is now open. The structure offers short- and long-term parking options, about 1,700 parking spaces, and features parking-assist technology that provides real-time availability of parking, as well as 48 Level II electric vehicle charging stations – 20 on Level 1, 10 on Level 2, 10 on Level 3 and eight on Level 4. It connects to Terminal 5 via an enclosed pedestrian bridge.The adjacent surface Lot D is also available for outdoor parking.

PREMIER PARKING – $63/day
Premier parking provides travelers with the most convenient and care-free parking experience at O’Hare International Airport. There is no need for advance booking — simply follow signs for Hourly Parking at the airport’s Main Parking Garage and follow the signs to “Premier Parking.”
All spaces are covered and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Premier Parking provides the most direct access possible for passengers, with less than 300 feet to Terminal 1, the main departure terminal for United Airlines and Terminal 3, the main departure terminal for American Airlines, saving travelers time and steps.
The fee is $63 daily, which includes all taxes and fees.

Chicago O’Hare International Airport ORD transfers
There are many ways passengers can get to and from O’Hare International Airport. Public transportation such as the CTA “L” trains and Metra offer up easy and economical travel. The CTA Blue Line station is located right within the airport offering easy access for passengers. A number of airport shuttles and regional buses service O’Hare, offering transportation for passengers in the city, suburbs and surrounding states.
Taxis, limos and rideshare companies are all accessible to passengers that are both coming and going.
TAXI SERVICE
Getting to and from O’Hare International Airport by taxi is both easy and convenient.
There are Taxi Stands at the lower level curb front (outside of Baggage Claim) at each terminal. Taxi service is available to Chicago and suburban destinations. Please make sure to use the designated Taxi Stands to ensure you have a licensed driver. For your protection, do not accept rides from drivers outside the cab stand or on the departure level (second level) of the terminal roadways. All taxis should have a working meter to calculate the fare based on time and mileage.

All suburban taxis should be pre-arranged by customers calling a suburban taxi company. Customers can call to pre-arrange for a suburban taxi in the Baggage Claim level or earlier before arriving. Designated pick up is on the lower-level, middle commercial lane at each Terminals 1,2,3 and inner commercial lane at Terminal 5.
TRANSPORTATION FROM O’HARE TO MIDWAY AIRPORT
If you need to travel between the two airports- O’Hare and Midway International Airports- there are a couple different options available to you. If you have a connecting flight from one airport to the other, be sure there is adequate time to get from one airport to the other.
You can take the CTA from O’Hare to Midway with one transfer downtown. It is the most economical way to transport between the two airports, but be sure to allow up to two hours for the trip.
Taking a taxi from O’Hare to Midway is another convenient way to travel between the two airports. Rates will vary depending on the time of day, weather and cab service.
You may also use the “Shared Ride” service if you have multiple parties available for the trip. Shared ride fares from O’Hare to Midway are $37 per person. Uber or Lyft, provide prearranged transportation services for compensation through an Internet-enabled application or digital platform to connect passengers with drivers of vehicles for hire.
Loading zones for Rideshare services are at the following locations:
- Terminal 2 – waiting area is on the Upper Level with pickup poles marked with orange signage labeled 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F and 2G to designate pickup zones.
Passengers should wait in the designated pickup zone until their TNP arrives. A waiting area inside is available between vestibules 2A and 2D. - Terminal 3 – waiting area is on the Upper Level with pickup poles marked with green signage labeled 3G, 3H, 3J and 3K.
- Black Car pickups continue to be offered on the lower level of all terminals.
