Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is the busiest and most efficient airport in the world.
ATL generates a more than $66 billion in annual economic impact and provides more than 63,000 jobs on-site, making it the state’s largest employer. A frequent recipient of awards of excellence, Hartsfield-Jackson is recognized for its leadership in concessions, operations, sustainability, architectural engineering, and construction.
With 80 percent of the U.S. population a mere two-hour flight away, Atlanta airport offers nonstop service to more than 160 domestic and 80 international destinations. These locales include major commercial centers in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Africa, and South and Central America. ATL also holds the distinction of being the first airport in the world to serve more than 100 million passengers in a single year.
ATL Skypointe, features more than 300 commercial venues meeting guests’ dining, shopping and service needs. And the ATL Airport Art program integrates permanent and rotating exhibits and musical performances into the fabric of the guest experience.
The terminal complex measures 156.1 acres (63.2 hectares), or 6.8 million square feet. The complex includes the Domestic and International terminals and Concourses T, A, B, C, D, E and F. Within these concourses, there are a total of 192 gates comprised of 152 domestic and 40 international gates. The Airport is free of any architectural barriers to people with disabilities.
The Airport’s underground The Plane Train connects all concourses with the Domestic and International terminals and consists of eleven, four-car trains operating on a 3-mile loop track. The Plane Trains operate approximately every two minutes. On average, the trains carry more than 200,000 passengers per day.

International Terminal
The international terminal has its own entrance, separate from the domestic terminal. The international terminal entrance is accessible from Interstate 75 at Exit 239. Roadway signage directs motorists to the international terminal via interstates 75, 85 and 285. Surface street signs also have been updated to direct motorists to the facility.

PARKING AT ATLANTA AIRPORT
The Atlanta Airport offers 24/7 parking at the Domestic and International terminals with convenient access by foot to the terminals.
They also offer complimentary shuttle service at our Domestic Park-Ride, International Park Ride deck, and ATL Select locations. Automatic ticket dispensers issue parking tickets at the entry of Hourly, Daily, Economy, ATL Select, and Park-Ride lots. The option of using a credit card to enter is available at our International Hourly, International Park Ride deck, and ATL Select.
ATL West Deck is their newest ticketless parking facility. The system reads your license plate as you enter and exit the facility to calculate your parking fee. It also features a state-of-the-art guidance system for parking availability. All facilities are first come, first serve and include ADA accessible spaces, as well as EV charging spaces. For ease of locating your vehicle upon return, customers are encouraged to jot down their location or take a photo of the vehicle and the area as a reminder.
Upon exit, guests can utilize the Pay-On-Foot machines located in the terminal and parking areas, or they can pay at the automated machines on the exit plazas. All major credit cards and cash payments are accepted at Pay-On-Foot machines and at the point of exit.

The North and South Hourly Parking Lots, which are the closest to each terminal entrance, are ideal for picking up or dropping off individuals at the Airport.

The International Hourly lot — just steps from check-in and arrivals — contains more than 1,100 parking spaces. The International Hourly parking deck features 14 close-in parking spaces for alternative fuel vehicles and 14 parking spaces for vanpools and carpools. From Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Boulevard, follow the signs to hourly parking.

INTERNATIONAL PARK RIDE
The International Park Ride facility on Maynard H. Jackson, Jr Boulevard, just west of Loop Road, offers 2,400 parking spaces. Passengers will take a three-minute ride on a shuttle bus to the international terminal’s Departures level and pick you up at the Arrivals level upon your return. The free shuttle is available 24 hours a day.

Take a taxi at Atlanta airport
Taxicab service at the Domestic Terminal is now located in Aisle A (Stalls A3 – A10) of the new Ground Transportation Center (GTC).
Taxicab service at the International Terminal is located on the arrival level outside the A-1 door.
Taxi Rates to Downtown Atlanta:
- $37.50 – One Person (includes $1.50 surcharge).
- $2.00 – Each Additional Person.
Take a train at Atlanta airport
Atlanta’s public transportation (trains and buses) is managed through MARTA.
MARTA’s Airport Station is inside the Domestic Terminal. Travel directly to the Domestic Terminal, between the North and South baggage claims.
Take the Red and Gold lines.
They travel directly to and from the Airport Station.
NOTE: if you’re traveling from the airport to Buckhead, Medical Center, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs or North Springs stations after 8:30 pm, you may need to transfer to the Red Line at Lindbergh Center station. Take the Gold (Doraville) train from the airport and transfer to a Red (North Springs) train at Lindbergh Center station.
Traveling to and from the International Terminal
— How do I get from the Domestic Terminal to the International Terminal?
Depending on your airline, there are two options.
If your airline does not allow you to check in for your international flight from the domestic terminal, there is a free shuttle service outside Baggage Claim.
If your airline does allow you to check in for your international flight from the domestic terminal, ride the Airport’s “Plane Train” to the International Terminal at Concourse F.
— How do I get to MARTA from the International Terminal?
There is a free shuttle at the arrivals level of the International Terminal that goes to the Domestic Terminal’s baggage claim. The Airport Station is inside the Domestic Terminal between the North and South baggage claims.
You may also ride the airport’s “Plane Train” to the Domestic Terminal Baggage Claim stop.
